How to get free publicity ?

Now there are various mediums to advertise your products and services for example: Television, Radio, News and many more. There are three ways through which you can advertise your product and services.

  • Editorials
  • Advertorials

Advertisementsare the paid advertising, you have to pay to place your advertisement on specified space. You are being charged for per column for placing your AD. The advertisements are usually expensive. It depend upon number of subscribers of a newspaper or viewers. The more number of subscribers, you have to pay more according to per column.

Editorialsare written by the PR people. It is generally for free and you are not being charged for this. Such editorials could be positive or negative. Depending upon the behaviour of PR editor  towards your product and services.

Advertorials are nothing else but the press release done by agency or editor themself. these press release are not for free . The compnay pay the agency or editors for a press release. These is a new way to reach maximum number of audience. Because advertisments have lots of clutter and waste factor. Therefore companies go for a paid press release. I don’t know how much they get paid for advertorials.

I read out a case study of a company. It mentioned that a advertisement in a newspaper was able to attract 30% of the customers who saw the advertisement. While a press release was able to attract 60% customers who read it. This is because customer were having more knowledge about the product, meanwhile they also come to know about the benefits of it .

3D holographic advertising

3dholographicad.JPG 3dholographicad2.JPG

3D holographic advertising will be coming in India. US based holografx has brought in this highly engaging and eye-grabbing technology.

This advertising media is allready very much popular in US of america,Mexico, Korea and South Africa. Though it is an exppensive medium. The technology enables 3D images to appear in the mid-air, accompanied by sound effects. I think the technology is really cool. It can attract maximum number of audience when it will be launched in the markek places.

People of India has never experienced such a kind of entertainment, dramatic and memorable experience to consumers. Few times back I went to international trade fair where I saw similar concept . They were displaying images in sky using lazer beam.

In this technology a 3d image travels through fresnel lens and vinyl screen to leap out and float in the air.

The sound is made possible through a technology that sends sound waves in a straight narrow band, like the beam of a flash light.

The technology mostly is used in indoor areas like malls, railways stations, musemums, airports, cinema lobbies. Creating a wow factor in mid-air. It give really to a virtual world. I come to know about a TV giving a holographic effects while watching your movie.

Sponsorship

Whenever you visit any exhibition, social programme and etc, you receive a brochure explaining about the program you going to join. You will also see a statement “Sponsored by” or “Our sponsors”

Sponsorship is a promotional tactic where a corporation creates link with an outside issue or event hoping to influence the audience by the connection. Though a sponsor don’t have any connection in organising the program or event. They try to create a link which is related to their product or service. But this is not necessary,  a corporation sponsor just to target audience towards their product or service . While watching a TVserial or weekend movie advertisements are displayed. These advertisements are the sponsorship for that particular serial or movie you are watching . Otherwise you won’t be able to see that particular serial or movie for few bugs you pay to your cable provider.

I visited an event on telecommunication. I found many telecommunication companies were the main sponsor of the event to link themself with the event and target the audience towards their product or service. You will found their logo on various brochures, directory and etc free goodies you receive while attending the event or exhibition.

Business target over the globe

In my international marketing class I learned that to start your business in the international market you require to view the economy of the country. If you start selling your luxury products where per capita income is low. Then you won’t be able to make maximum profits from your business. People wouldn’t purchase your goods because their purchasing power is low. If you sell or export your goods to a country where annual per capita income is high. People of have the power to purchase the products or enjoy your services. Therefore, before you start your business of goods and services . You should analyse & target market from where you can receive maximum returns from your investment .

Corporate marketing behaviour

It was my first day on marketing and communication . I learned that intellectual behaviour is very important to become a successful person. What you think should be different from others ideas. We discussed that Why Amitabh bachan became a successful actor out of hundreds of people. Because his style, voice, body language was different to others. His emotions effect on the audience were very effective. Similarly when you communicate with customer, your communication should attract them. You should develop communication strategy before you reach your customer. What Question he/she can ask about your product.

I also learned that you have adjust with people with whom you don’t want to talk. When are you doing a job in a corporte, working in a team. You have to control/adjust your emotions. You can’t complaint to boss like a small kid “He is not a good person & I will not do lunch with him”. You have maintain your displine in the company. Focus more on your problem. Analyse them and try to get the solutions. We know all points to get success, relax think. We don’t follow them. Many beginner face these problems. They to get emotional maturity.

Stay tune with my blog……
